Rainbow Dome’s mission is to offer an alternative to the classic roller rink experience, combining art, community, roller skating, and FUN. Join us at Rollerdome for a night of zodiac magic.

Oh My Stars! Frequently Asked Questions

Please be mindful that we are a small team and may not be able to respond on the day of the event to last minute inquiries. We appreciate your understanding.

What is the admissions process?

The entrance to the event is through the parking lot on the North side of the building. When you reach the doors, you must present:

1) Covid Precautions: You and everyone in your party must be wearing masks. We have a few masks available at check-in if you forgot.

2) Liability Waiver: You will have to sign our liability waiver- this can be done on your phone by scanning the QR code at the door, sign at our iPad kiosk, or by signing a paper copy we have at the admissions table. Sign ahead of time to save time: follow this link to our google form. Remember to bring/show your confirmation email to Check-in.

3) Admission: Buy admission at the door (cash and card accepted)

You’ll receive a wristband, and can enter and exit the event, unless we reach capacity. At that point in time, anyone leaving the building will have to wait in line for re-admittance.

I already signed your Liability Waiver?

Great! Please bring/show your confirmation email at Check-in.

How does skate rental work?

Skate rental is free with your admission to Oh My Stars! There is a skate rental booth inside the building with kids sizes through men’s size 14, available on a first come, first served basis.

When you reach the skate rental counter, the rental team will trade you skates for your shoes. We keep your shoes behind the counter so that they are not cluttering up the floor. You will get a coat check tag when you hand us your shoes, and when you return your skates, we will take your tag and exchange your returned skates for your shoes.

The skates are sprayed with disinfectant between each use.

What if skate rental is out of my size?

Skate rental is on a first come, first served basis. We aim to have enough skates for everyone at any given time, however, we have run out of skates in certain sizes before.

If we do run out of sizes, we will have a waitlist going for your size. We will collect your name, phone number, and preferred skate size, and when a pair in that size is returned, we will text you. When you receive a text from us, you don’t have to wait in line, you can come right up to the desk, and we will get you on the floor as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your understanding as we learn these systems!

Is there a coat check?

No. We do provide coat racks with hangers, but these are accessed by all attendees. We suggest that any important personal items be kept on your person at all times.

I’m new to skating, is this event for me?

Yes! Rainbow Dome events aim to be inclusive and accessible. We have skate aids, brightly colored “wheeled walkers” with handlebars at different heights for you to use on the skate floor. There also will be at least 1 experienced skater on the skate surface at all times to offer assistance in the rink. In addition to skating, there are local vendors, DJs, food, non-alcoholic beverages, and seating areas not on the skate floor for enjoyment.

What are the best times to come to Oh My Stars!?

We encourage folks to come early if they can. The 3-5pm skate floor is calm and open with more room to move. This part of the day is for you if you want a skate floor with fewer people. We recognize that Friday is a workday, and that many people work until the evening. If you are looking for a skating experience with fewer people, we encourage you to come as early as possible. The floor begins to get crowded around 7pm and stays pretty full until the end of the event.

How busy is the skate floor?

We are open for free skating from 3-10pm. We encourage people who want to skate on a floor with fewer people to come as early as possible. The skate floor begins to get a bit busy around 7pm, and gets very busy around 8:30pm. We do have ‘skate guards’ on the floor to help people out if they fall or need assistance. We also have ‘skate aids’.

How do I know if Rainbow Dome is at capacity for this event? How will I know if I can get in?

At that point in time, anyone leaving the venue will have to wait in line for re-admittance. While waiting you are welcome to hang in the parking lot.
